As the time goes by..

Monday, September 5th was not just Labor Day, but a special day for a very special woman in my life. Monday we celebrated Mom's 60th birthday! It's sometimes hard to believe that she is at that age...however I am proud to have her in my life, and as my mother.
For our celebration the family met at Leatherby's Creamery for some tasty bites of food and ice cream. I absolutely love their cheese fries, and banana shakes. Get them every time.
Those who participated in fun-eral tradition dressed in something colorful and mis-matched. We had a great time at the restaurant. There were a group of women, strangers to us, that sang "Happy Birthday"
Passersby stopped to ask questions or comment, and it was enjoyable for us all! The outfits were certainly loud enough to draw some attention...
Once we were finished filling our bellies, we went over to the house, and by house I mean Mom and Dad's. We gathered there to read our eulogies to mom, and presented her with bouquets of flowers.
Mom always said that she'd rather enjoy flowers while she's alive, so we in tradition give flowers for all the special occasions celebrating mom.

The littlest things that make me smile

Every night Tim heads to bed about an hour before I do, and as always Koda follows him. When I'm ready to get in the bed Koda is laying comfortably on his backside on my side of the bed.
I really hate to move him, because he's just sleeping away peacefully. Momma has to get her rest, so I give him a nudge, and he just gets up and cuddles up to Tim's feet. That makes me smile!

Roxy loves to run around the yard chasing the birds and jumping into the trees. We've decided that she's doing it for us...to entertain us. It really is fun to watch her. That makes me smile!

Koda and Roxy have been come really good playmates. They rough play alot, and for some reason they choose to do it around Tim and myself. So we have to be careful of body parts being injured.
Roxy usually initiates the rough playe,and they growl, and snarl, and paw at each other. The noises that they make are so funny. Tim and I are always laughing at them. That makes me smile!

Tim is very considerate of my feelings. He will listen to me and console me when I'm having a bad day. That makes me smile!

Hearing the laughter of my only sister Elaina, that makes me smile!

Hanging out with my two pyro brothers Karl and Nate, that makes me smile!
