I know, it sort of shocked me too. Texas, what could possibly make me want to move to Texas?
On Friday, July 26th Tim was offered a fantastic job in Irving, Texas with Citigroup, and after a lot of deliberation he accepted the offer. It is a really great opportunity for him, since he is looking for the best way to provide for his family.
I am so grateful to Tim for working so hard, and diligently to provide the best, and I want to repay him by supporting him in what he wants to do.
This is certainly going to be hard as we move away from our families and friends, but we also know that it will be an adventure that we will get to experience together. I feel that this will only help us grow as a family.
I have had to rely a lot on the Lord for comfort, and strength as this is very stressful for the both of us and the blessings are endless. Our family are very supportive, and have been helping us in any way they can.
Tim and I are flying out to the Dallas/Fortworth area on the 15th to check out the neighborhoods, get things started in looking for a permanent home, and getting Tim settled to begin work on Monday, August 19th.
I will come back to Utah the 18th to finish packing, and prepping the house for sale. Tim and I will have to spend sometime apart, but I think it'll only strengthen our love for each other. "The heart grows fonder when they are apart." as they say.
Hopefully, Tim will fly back at the end of August, and we'll drive with the baby and two dogs to Texas for the final haul.
I'm really looking forward to this new experience. I have only ever known Utah, since I was born and raised here. I did vacation in Austin, TX a couple of years ago, but I'm excited to learn, and experience Texas!
