Fun-eral (Not to be mistaken with funeral)

So the Moeller Family (my side) is starting a new tradition, which my younger brother Nate came up with. It all started with my Mom commenting after attending a funeral recently that she'd rather enjoy the flowers while she's alive. That got Nate thinking about the eulogies, why not enjoy what others have to say about someone now while they are alive to hear them??? So that's when he came up with Fun-earl... the years that anyone has a birthday that is denominated by 5 the whole family gathers together for a Fun-eral. Each person writes a letter, or memories of that person to share at the party.
So we hurried and covered those birthdays for the year 2010, Kurt, Yamila, Joel and David before the year was over. Tonight we began our family fun-eral tradition. Nate with the financial help of Mom decorated with tons of crape paper and balloons. We had lots of food, drink age, and desserts. It was a great time had by all.

Where are you Christmas?

I'm having troubles feeling the Christmas Spirit... That reminds me of little Cindy-Lo Who from the movie "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." Cindy-Lo Who searches for what Christmas is really all about, and why she feels alone. I am thankful that I have a wonderful husband and great family to spend the holidays with, I just wish that excitement I use to feel as a child would come back.
Being an adult and having responsibilities sure puts a damper on things, but I know that the spirit of Christmas will return.

The Great Return

It's Friday December 3rd 2010. We're gathered in the airport awaiting to great return of two extraordinary missionaries. It had been 18 months since we bid them farewell and good luck, and now we celebrate together as one big family for the safe return home from Milan, Italy. It was such a joyful moment when I first saw Marian and Neil walking down the pathway towards the baggage claim area. It was hard to keep the tears of joy from falling down my cheeks, as I cried so did Jenny, and Julie. Immediately Marian and Neil began hugging everyone, and laughing, and crying. It was a moment that no one would ever forget.
Tim and I had the great advantage of driving the tired missionaries home, and got to talk about everything on the way home to Ogden.
The best moment of all was the great surprise we had for Neil at home down in the basement... Tim with helpful suggestions from the family has Neil's old pool table refinished and assembled. The story of the pool table is that it had been sitting in the garage for the past 12 years.
When Neil walked into the room, and was stunned. He for a spilt moment couldn't get the words to come out of his mouth, but when he did he said "This is the best surpise."
The whole day was just one of those moments that will always be cherished!

Early Morning Wake-up Call

Early this morning my poor little Roxy felt the desire to vomit on the carpeted floors. This concerned my husband and I because she had vomited earlier that day. What was causing her to vomit? What should we do since the vets. office isn't open yet? Thank goodness to my training with the American Red Cross, I whipped out my Dog First Aid book and began reading about vomiting. Tim and I came to the conclusion that Roxy's poor little stomach couldn't handle to change of food my husband bought. I had trouble sleeping due to the worry wort that I am. The problem was solved when I bought the regular dog food that we've fed them and mixed it half and half. By dinner time both Roxy and Chubby are happy, vibrant and bellies full of food.

Warm Sun, Relaxation, and Fun!

Tim and I are so excited for our real vacation in 3 yrs. Way too long if you ask me. We're taking the trip to Austin, Texas to visit family and to have fun. This will be an adventure especially for me since I've never been on a plane. YIKES! I hope I don't freak out on the plane, and get tackled by some stranger for thinking I'm a terrorist. HAHAHA!

Past Memories...Make Interesting Memoirs

Last night I was cleaning some old piles of papers to get junk out of my life, and I found this old shoe box that I had decorated back in High School. I was curious as to what treasures lied inside the box. So I sat down on the bed and opened my treasure box to find letters from my Sister and Brothers from when they were on missions, some old birthday cards, and my journals from my adolescences up to before married life.
I tell ya... it's hilarious reading back upon the past. I was always so gaga for boys, and dreaming of when I would marry and the man I would fall in love with. I look back and life is no fairytale...
Okay I have to say I feel like I married a prince, and I'm living happily in our cute little castle. So maybe life can be like a fairytale.

Untrue to Myself

Ok, so I haven't been exactly following through with my goal. I've been exercising, but my diet has been tossed through the window. I've been indulging in cake, lots of cereal, and tons or carbs. My doctor and dietitian will be so proud of me....NOT! I am embarrassed, but we have to make mistakes to do what's right do we not. So I'm making more of an effort now more then ever to follow my diet and exercise to be fit. I really must do this to be happy, and live a full life.
Not only will I be benefiting from the diet, but so will the hubby. He's put on weight due to some medications, and because of that he's feeling depressed for putting on the weight. So I have to do this for myself, and for Tim.

Still in it to win it!

So I've been keeping up with my 30 day challenge; exercising 30 minutes each day. I've done everything from dirty, sweatie house work, yard work, to running up and down the stairs to going to the gym. It can be difficult especailly in the mornings, but afterwards I feel so much better. At work we have little 30 minute workout sessions 2times a week... that has helped out alot. Who knew that I could begin to like exercising?
One more thing, I have to get fit before I leave for vacation in August! Let's see if I can do it!
