The week started with waking up in our house for the last time.
We spent the day packing up what was left, and that evening some family members from Tim's side helped us load up our U haul boxes. We didn't get everything, but what was left was small and would take us no time. It was about 10:30 pm by the time all was said and done. We packed up our stuff and moved over to Tim's parents'.

We ate breakfast and then went shopping for some slacks that Tim needed for work. We also found him a few new shirts. Then we headed out to the house to finish packing, but had to be back to the parents to feed Kohl and eat dinner, so we did that and headed back to our house where our U haul boxes where gone. It was upsetting because we weren't finished loading them, and neither one of us had called to schedule them for pick up. By this time the store was closed, and we had to wait until morning to get the issue resolved. I went ahead and packed up the little that was left, and then we went back to his parents to go to bed.

By the time I got up about 9am Tim had contacted U haul, and our boxes were back at our house. So after breakfast we went straight out and loaded the last of our things. Took us about an hour, and we were done.
That afternoon I got to take a nap, a pretty long one as well as Kohl, and Tim. I sure love naps. When we woke it was time to drop off Kohl with Tim's sister so that we could have our last date night for a few weeks.
We went to Union Grill in Ogden. It's a popular place to dine at. We had a good time, with good food, and yummy desserts, and excellent service. Then we went back to get Kohl and had even more fun talking with Jenny and her family. This would be the last time for Tim as he was leaving for Texas.

Today was a big day. We were flying out to Texas to get Tim settled to start his New job on Monday, as well as find a house to rent that accommodated us with 2 dogs, and buy a car for Tim. We started early getting up. Ate breakfast with his parents. Then we drove down to drop off our precious little boy with my parents, and then we were on our way.
We parked the car in one of those long term parking lots, and were shuttled up to the airport terminal. Checked in our bags, went through security check, and then we waited.

It seemed like a long time, but it wasn't. However they were experiencing some minor problems. They had to get another plane because the original one had hit a bird strike and blew out an engine. Then they were over booked and asked if we'd take the later flight non-stop. We said fine, but then later we were called back to the desk where they were able to keep us on the existing flight, however the flight was delayed by 45 minutes.
We finally get off, and were in Denver in what seemed like 30 minutes, but took 60. We landed, and sorta panicked as our connecting flight was scheduled to leave right as we pulled up. Thankfully they were running behind, and we connected flights.
We were then up and on our way to Dallas/Fort Worth. That took another 80 minutes.
The sun was starting to set when we landed, and everything looked amazing. We got our bags, and our rental car and we were off to finding our hotel with out mobile GPS. That was some what stressful, but we made it and after we checked in we went looking for some place to eat. After many turns, and trial by error we found Chili's and decided to eat there.

We got free breakfast which wasn't all too bad. I really loved the bagels. Yummy! Then we checked out of the hotel and waited for our realtor Tracy, whom by the way is awesome, to pick us up.

I don't remember why, but we ended up going and meeting her at her office instead. We found a house that we really liked and started to fill out the applications, but right as we finished them Tracy got a call that the house already went. Crap! So she got back online and looked for a few more and we went back out looking. Found another great house, however they won't allow our dogs. Load of crap! So we're back to square one. By this time we were all tired, and so we ended for the day. That evening Tracy sent a few more possibilities thru email, and there was one that looked promising wanted to possibly check it out Saturday.
Tired but with too much to take care of we were off to Best Buy where we bought a Tom Tom GPS to help us navigate Texas's strange roads, then using our new toy we took off to Carmax to buy Tim a car.
He picked out something I never thought he'd choose, but he seemed to really like which is a Chevy Cobalt in orange. It had low miles and was in our price range. It was perfect for what he needs.
Once we drove off with a new car, it was to the grocery store for a few essential items Tim was going to need for the next 2 Weeks. I was beat! I was really missing my baby, but my family was sweet to send me some pictures....

After a long somewhat good nights sleep, Tim and I went to I HOP for some breakfast. We got a call from Tracy about the house we saw from the listing from the night before, and talking of going out to see it. She said she'd call us back. We ate breakfast and then went back to the hotel were I decided I needed a nap. Took a nap and about 1 1/2 later got a call from Tracy saying we were late... some where communication got mixed or misinterpreted, but we drove out to look at the property without Tracy since she had another appointment. From the outside it looked great, but the inside was very unappealing. I just didn't feel comfortable with it, so we were done with houses for the weekend. Total bust for me, since that was my main goal while I was there. We stopped for dinner on our way back.

Sunday, August 18th
It was our last day together for 2 weeks. It was time for me to head back to Utah to finish things there before we all moved to Texas. It was an emotional day for me. I have never been away from Tim for longer then a day. Imagining the next 2 weeks with out him was hard. We enjoyed the day finishing up errands to make sure Tim was settled, and he took me out for a special treat to Olive Garden before I had to catch my flight. It was such a romantic meal for us. I couldn't stop staring at him, and he'd smile right back at me. Dreadfully we said our farewells at the gate of the airport. Boy how I was going to miss him. While I waited to board the plane I found this adorable onesie for Kohl.

"Kohl, Mommy's coming home." |
My flight was pleasant had 1 short lay over in Denver, and on the flight to Salt Lake I spoke to the girl who sat next to me the whole way. Before I knew it we were landing at the Salt Lake International Airport. It was past 10pm, but I gathered my bad and was shuttled back to my car. By this time I was so anxious to see my baby. I got in my car and drove to my parents where I ended up crashing on their sofa, but not before staring at my sweet angel boy sleeping away in his crib.
