I'm a few days late, but nonetheless my sweet Kohl is 4 Months Old.
The mark of the turn of age was on Tuesday, July 9th, and on that day I thought we had his check-up but when I got to the doctor's office they informed me that his appointment wasn't until the next day. Bummer I could have slept in longer.
Wednesday, July 10th
Tim took the day off from work to take care of his car, and so we picked up the part from the mechanic due to the fact it was the wrong size... we went and exchanged the part, and went back to the mechanics. Dropped off the correct part, and then went to Roxberry for smoothies before heading over to the doctor's office for Kohl's 4 month check-up.
First thing, I stripped him of all his clothes, and then the nurse measured him, and weighed him. So to-date Kohl is a healthy 25.5 inches long, and weighs 15.6 lbs. putting him in the 50th percentile. I couldn't been more happy or relieved to know that my child is healthy, and happy, and that as parent I'm doing something right.
After the doctors is was back to the mechanics where Tim picked up his car. Hooray! Kohl and I drove down to have lunch with his cousins Giovanni and Harrison along with my Mom, sister Elaina, and Brother Kurt (father of Giovanni and Harrison.) Then it was off the Liberty Park. The kids played around a little in the Seven Canyons Fountain in the middle of the Park. Elaina took Kohl to dip his feet in the cool water, but he didn't seem to like it as much as Mommy thought he might. I had to take Kohl and calm him down because after putting sunscreen on him, and his feet getting wet he wasn't very happy.
Luckily he fell asleep, and by this time it was off the the Tracy Aviary. I personally have never been, and was excited to go.
It was actually really interesting and educational. My favorite birds were the Swans, Barred and Burrowing Owls, and the Peacock.
The swans would dive into the water to feed. I was actually amazed how long they could keep their heads under water.

Such a strange breed of birds, I just had to take a few pictures

It really fun spending the afternoon with my nephews, and seeing all the different kinds of birds. Someday I want to take Kohl back when he's older.

We went to the aviary recently too. I hadn't been in years, and they have really improved the park. We had fun too!!!
Kohl is getting so big! He is adorable! I love the picture of him screaming. It is amazing how they surprise us by not liking something we think they might!
