My life is a circus for a day

Saturday, September 24th 2011- Boy, oh boy... my morning started with preparations for my friends baby shower/open house for later that afternoon; which was just a blast. They had furniture setup in the backyard, there was a onesie decoration table, and yummy food and drinks. It was just amazing. We have a few friends in common so it was great getting to see us get together. I personally had a lot of fun decorating onesies.
After the open house Tim and I were off to the Outback in Layton for dinner with my sis and bro'law Elaina and David. We had the best server ever, and the food was so mouth watering good.
Then the four of us drove down to Salt Lake City to "the greatest show on earth" The circus was in town, and I bought tickets for a birthday present to my sister. I hadn't seen the circus since I was a child, and even then I don't remember much. I really looked forward to the circus. We were driving down No.Temple to go park in the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg. underground parking, however the traffic was horrible. You'd wait 5-8mins just to move a car length. We soon figured out that there was some kind of race where the runners were in their underwear. It was disturbing, and annoying. Which I later found out that is was a protest for Utahns against being uptight. Silly really! They had the road blocked off for the runners... Just that one night you had the circus, the General Relief Society Meeting, Symphony, and then the runners. It was crazy traffic that night. We eventually made it and parked with 10 minutes to get to the Energy Solutions Arena before the Circus began... we walked it and made it missing only 2 minutes of the show. We literally were sitting on the edge of our seats the whole time. Tim got excited seeing the elephants, and I really like the zebras and lions. Oh my goodness... it was awesome. Really was worth it, and just being there together with all of us. I enjoy and cherish those moments. I didn't enjoy the sore feet afterwards. I've been walking funny ever since, but everything was worth the memories!
